October 23, 2021: Pumpkins and Potions
Check out some of the decorated pumpkins from our Fall skele-fun in the MAKE Projects garden! On Saturday, October 23rd, we had some seasonal garden activities and tours that were fun for all ages. Participants there, carved or painted their own pumpkin while enjoying Fall bites and farm-inspired beverages!
August 15, 2021: Pizza and Pollinators
Our all-ages-friendly farm experience featuring our new Monarch Sanctuary, pollinator plants tours, and hands-on art activities for the littles ones to celebrate the vital role that butterflies and bees play in our lives! We learned about the threatened status of the beloved Western Monarch Butterfly and what we can do to help save it. Then, we capped it off with making your own pizza over our new outdoor grill, farm-inspired drinks, and light bites.
July 21, 2021: Pesto Around the World
Explored the wide world of bright, herby green sauces at the MAKE Projects garden! We talked about all things chimichurri, pistou, gremolata, and each makes our own lush summertime pesto. Explored bold flavors with homemade flatbreads and other garden goodness. Enjoyed some time in our summertime garden with a farm-inspired beverage and took home a jar of your very own homemade pesto. No blenders involved, just the slow folding of your sauce into life with mortar, pestle, and the summer evening.
July 15, 2021: Flower Arranging
Learned to harvest flowers straight from our garden and the techniques for creating beautiful bouquets! We're excited to have Sara Eaton of Black Lotus Design teach us the art of floral design with farm-inspired beverages and appetizers. After, take home your beautiful bouquet creation in a vase!
